Recently, Sandy Arnold, GreenStone financial services officer in Lapeer, Michigan, helped Dave and Kathy Holland finance the construction of their dream retirement homea 4,600 square foot custom-built log home on 40 acres.

"Financing a custom-build has its own set of challenges that you don't run into when buying an existing, traditional home," said Sandy. "Finding comparable sales of specialty homes can be difficult, but with GreenStone's on-staff appraisers, we are able to get the job done and get our customers into their dream home." 

The Hollands learned about Farm Credit financing through a log home vendor they were working with on the build. "This [log home] is our dream, and GreenStone has been a big part of that," said Dave.
