Crop hail insurance provides your customer with insurance to compensate for the loss of crops due to one of nature's most damaging weather conditions - hail. It also provides protection against fire and lightning damage while the crop is in the field or harvester. For some crops, the coverage extends to protect crops in transit to the first place of storage.
This is insurance coverage developed by the federal government to provide a safety net for crop producers when the crop disaster program authority was repealed. GreenStone offers specific Multi-Peril Crop insurance policies for catastrophic crop and crop revenue coverage. Farmers who choose to not utilize this insurance or crop insurance forfeit their right to any government assistance programs.
