Bratschi Named Financial Services Officer

Travis Bratschi has been named financial services officer in GreenStone’s Traverse City branch. In his new role, Bratschi will assist agricultural customers in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska and Leelanau counties with financial solutions to meet the needs of their operation. He will assist customers with products such as real estate, equipment and operating loans, and lease financing. Bratschi is succeeding longtime GreenStone employee Gordon Tulgestke who is retiring after 40 years of service.

“Having grown up on a cherry and apple farm in Williamsburg, Michigan, Travis is very familiar with the agriculture industry in the northwest region of the state,” said Ben Mahlich, vice president of sales and customer relations. “His farming experience, combined with his crop insurance knowledge, will be a true asset for all of the customers in this area.”

Bratschi joined GreenStone as a crop insurance specialist in 2008. He was recently promoted to senior crop insurance specialist before being named to replace the outgoing Tulgestke.

Bratschi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University majoring in finance and human resources. He and his wife, Erin, currently farm high-density apples and tart cherries in Williamsburg. Additionally, Bratschi serves on the Grand Traverse Fruit Council.
