Members of GreenStone Farm Credit Services have elected six individuals to the cooperative’s board of directors, including four new board members. Each board member has been elected to a three-year term.

Members of GreenStone Farm Credit Services have elected six individuals to the cooperative’s board of directors, including four new board members. Each board member has been elected to a three-year term.

In voting Region V (western Michigan), Christine Crumbaugh from Gratiot County and Aaron “Andy” Snider from Oceana County join the board of directors. Crumbaugh has 15 years of farming experience on her family’s 3,000 acre cash crop farm raising sugar beets, corn, soybeans and wheat in St. Louis, Michigan. Snider has 31 years of farming experience and operates a livestock and cash crop farm producing tom turkeys, weaner pigs, corn, soybeans and rye in Hart, Michigan.

In voting Region VI (central Michigan), incumbent Catherine Webster from Clinton County was elected to serve another term on the GreenStone board. Webster has served on the board for 20 years and has 45 years of experience operating a family dairy in Elsie, Michigan. Laura Braun from Clinton County joins Webster as the other Region VI director. Braun has 26 years of farming experience and, in partnership with her husband, farms corn, soybeans and wheat. The Brauns also manage 200 head of beef cattle.

In voting Region VII (northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula), incumbent Raymond Diederich from Brown County, Wisconsin, was re-elected to the GreenStone board and has 13 years of board experience. Farming for 40 years, Diederich operates a 300 cow dairy farm with his son and also farms alfalfa, corn and wheat in De Pere, Wisconsin. Dale Wagner from Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, joins the GreenStone board in 2012. Wagner has 25 year of farming experience and currently operates a 300-cow dairy farm in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The 2012 Nominating Committee includes from voting Region I: Russ Helmreich, Midland County; Joseph Ivan, Jr., Midland County; and Jack Terwillegar, Saginaw County; from Region II: Thomas Durand, Sanilac County; Chris Grekowicz, Huron County; and David Thuemmel, Huron County; from Region III: Wm. “Hank” Choate, Jackson County; and Dennis Huehl, Washtenaw County; from Region IV: Ray McKenzie, Cass County; and Brian Totzke, Berrien County; from Region V: Keith Bouwkamp, Newaygo County; and Jack Jeppesen, Montcalm County; from Region VI: Aaron Gasper, Ionia County; and Jeffrey Sandborn, Ionia County; and from region VII Wayne Bradley, Kewaunee County; and Beverly Wolf, Oconto County.
