GreenStone is Prepared to Provide Disaster Relief Funds to Fruit Producers and Processors

GreenStone is proud to be a major supplier of loans under the Agricultural Disaster Loan Origination Program Act of 2012 for the state of Michigan. The program was developed to assist fruit producers and processers devastated by the harsh weather experienced throughout Michigan earlier this year.

Being a member-owned cooperative makes it a simple decision to go the extra mile to assure our members have the lowest cost of capital possible. While our choice to be involved has been simple, the work of preparing our systems and processes to deliver this special lending product has been more challenging. Thanks to the work of many staff who have focused on this initiative over the last 60 days, we are ready to deliver as soon as the state of Michigan appropriates the funds for the program.

GreenStone is pleased to be able to assist our producers by providing this low-interest loan program in cooperation with the state of Michigan. We look forward to working with you to not only determine your eligibility in this program, but also to assist in working through an individualized plan for your operation to recover from the 2012 crop disaster.

Please contact your local GreenStone office and watch our website for further information once appropriations have been made.
