GreenStone Recognized as One of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For

GreenStone Farm Credit Services was recently recognized as one of west Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For by the Michigan Business and Professional Association.

The 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For is an awards competition providing the business community with the opportunity to gain recognition, showcase best practices and demonstrate why they are an ideal place for employees to work. The program is also a premier awards symposium that celebrates those companies that are making the lives of their employees better as well as the community as a whole.

“I am very honored and humbled to accept this award on behalf of GreenStone employees,” said Beth Barker, GreenStone’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “At GreenStone, we strive to create a workplace that fosters employee development while keeping customer service and satisfaction our top-priority.”

An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories. They include: communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multi-culturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance. Judging is based on an application submitted by the company’s human resources representatives, in addition to independent surveys completed by company employees. Staff from GreenStone’s Allegan, Berrien Springs, Charlotte, Grand Rapids, Hart, Hastings, Ionia, Mason and Schoolcraft branches as well as the corporate office in East Lansing contributed to the organization’s entry by providing secure feedback in the above categories.

GreenStone is among an elite group of winners that collectively practice innovative strategies and represent human resources best practices. Its diverse and employee focused total compensation package, above average diversity and inclusion, involvement and focus on community initiatives, and the sincerity of employee engagement and commitment are just a few of the reasons noted in this award recognition.
