GreenStone Seeks Leaders Shaping the Future of Rural Communities and Agriculture

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of serving rural and agricultural communities, GreenStone Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit announced a nationwide search to identify and honor 100 leaders in the agricultural industry. Nominations for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives search will be accepted until Dec. 18, 2015.

"The Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will be recognized for their exceptional contributions in positively shaping the future of rural communities and agriculture." said Dave Armstrong, GreenStone President and CEO. "Michigan and northeast Wisconsin are home to many of these innovators, and GreenStone will actively nominate members from the association's territory."

Armstrong adds that anyone can nominate a deserving individual for the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honor. Farmers, as well as individuals who represent other agribusinesses, cooperatives, academic institutions, government agencies, community and non-government organizations, are all encouraged to apply.

Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will be announced in March 2016. Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees will have the opportunity to share their stories, inspire with their vision and demonstrate their leadership through promotional opportunities.

Ten distinguished Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honorees - one from each nomination category - will receive a $10,000 cash prize to help further their contributions to thriving rural communities and agriculture. These ten honorees will also be a part of a special Farm Credit recognition event held in Washington, D.C.
