GreenStone Welcomes Fisher to Alma Branch

Mike Fisher has joined GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Alma branch and will serve as a crop insurance specialist. In his new role, Fisher will assist current and future GreenStone customers in Gratiot County with their crop insurance needs.

Originally from Wheeler, Fisher grew up on his parents’ 2,500-acre corn, soybean, sugar beet and wheat cash crop farm, and was heavily involved with his local FFA chapter. He attended Michigan State University earning a certificate in crop production and later a Bachelor of Science degree in park and recreational planning design and turf grass management.

“We are excited to welcome Mike to our Alma branch,” said Cindy Birchmeier, regional vice president of sales and customer relations. “His passion for serving his surrounding community and customer service experience paired with his previous involvement with agriculture will serve him well in his new position.”

Prior to joining GreenStone, Fisher spent ten years as a sales consultant at an automotive dealership focused on establishing relationships with new customers, and working one-on-one with clients to determine solutions to meet their specific needs. Most recently, he worked at Apex Marine in St. Louis and was responsible for quality control and inventory management.

Currently residing in St. Louis with his wife Tamera, Fisher is active in his surrounding community. He established the Gratiot County Whitetails Unlimited Chapter, which focuses on raising funds for youth programs; and he currently serves as a certified hunter safety instructor. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting.
