GreenStone Farm Credit Services is calling all hunters in northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to participate in the second annual GreenStone Big Buck Contest.

GreenStone Farm Credit Services is calling all hunters in northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to participate in the second annual GreenStone Big Buck Contest. The second annual competition gives hunters a chance to “win big bucks for their bucks” and kicks off on Nov. 15, running through Nov. 30. Entry forms will be accepted through Dec. 7.

The contest features an adult class as well as a junior buck class for hunters 17 years of age and younger. Cash prizes will be awarded in each class:

Adults (18 years and older)

  • 1st - $750
  • 2nd - $500
  • 3rd - $350
  • 4th - $250
  • 5th - $150
  • 6th - $100

Junior Buck (17 years and younger)

  • 1st - $300
  • 2nd - $200
  • 3rd - $100

The contest is open to all residents and hunters in GreenStone’s territory in northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. To qualify, entrants should bring their deer, or completed entry form with witness signature and photo, to GreenStone's Appleton, Clintonville, Coleman, DePere, Escanaba, Manitowoc, or Sturgeon Bay branch office during normal business hours. Onsite deer will be photographed and scored by the GreenStone staff, and stories will be documented.
