Lemon Named Vice President with Commercial Lending Unit

Tyson Lemon has been named a vice president with GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Commercial Lending Unit. In his new role, he will specialize in assisting large specialty crop producers and processors with their lending and financial services needs.

“Tyson is a tremendous addition to the commercial lending unit team,” said Jeff Sommerfield vice president of commercial lending unit group manager. “His experience working on a specialty crop farm, and time spent as a financial services officer make him uniquely qualified for this position.”

Lemon began his career with GreenStone’s Berrien Springs, Michigan, branch in 2005 as a crop insurance specialist. He later transitioned to a financial services officer position in 2008 and then senior financial services officer in 2012.

Born and raised in Berrien Springs, Lemon grew up working on his parents’ 200 acre fruit farm and winery. He attended Michigan State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture management before returning to his parents’ operation where he served as winery manager until joining GreenStone.

Lemon currently resides in St. Joseph, Michigan, with his wife Andrea and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing and playing basketball.
