Melissa Rogers Selected as VP of Marketing and Public Relations

GreenStone Farm Credit Services recently announced the selection of Melissa Rogers as its new Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. Rogers succeeds Jim Nowak who recently transitioned to a Regional Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations for GreenStone.

In her new position, Rogers will lead the Marketing and Public Relations Department, focusing on improving penetration in all targeted market segments through the implementation of the strategic and tactical marketing plans for the organization relating to market research, advertising, trade shows, sales programs, stockholder publications along with legislative and media relations.

Prior to her transition to Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, Rogers served for four years as GreenStone’s Marketing Specialist. As she developed in this role, she gained experience planning and carrying out strategic marketing projects, spear heading social media efforts, and designing marketing and advertising materials.

Rogers holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Natural Resources Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising both from Michigan State University. Her knowledge in the areas of marketing and public relations, combined with the first hand farming experience she gained from growing up on her family’s dairy farm, will help her excel in her new position.

As a National Agri-Marketing Association member and student advisor, an Ingham County Farm Bureau Communications Committee member, and a Big Sister for Michigan Capital Region’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program, Rogers is very involved with the local community. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside and spending time with her family and friends. She currently resides in Mason, Michigan with her husband and two children.
