Moegle Transitions to New Role with GreenStone

Jake Moegle has become the newest financial services officer with GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Sandusky branch.

In his new role, Moegle will assist customers and prospects in Sanilac County with their agricultural lending needs by offering financial solutions such as real estate, equipment and operating loans, and lease financing.

Although new to this position, Moegle joined GreenStone in May 2015, and was part of the association’s loan officer trainee program. As a trainee, he proactively gained the knowledge, skill, and hands-on experience needed to transition to a financial services officer role. Prior to this, Moegle served as an assistant farm manager at a large orchard and cider mill operation, focusing on crop cultivation and production, and managing employees.

“The knowledge Jake gained as a loan officer trainee, coupled with his experience in agriculture, will be a huge asset to our customers,” said Dave Ballman, regional vice president of sales and customer relations. “We are excited to bring him on board at our Sandusky location.”

Moegle will spend the next several months working alongside longtime GreenStone employee David Messing, to continue gaining field experience until Messing’s retirement.

An Armada native, Moegle grew up on his family’s corn, sugar beet, and soybean cash crop operation. Later, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time fishing, hunting, and playing sports.
