Oberlin Joins GreenStone’s Hastings Office

Mark Oberlin has joined GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Hastings branch where he will work as the location’s newest country living financial services officer.

In this position, Oberlin will assist new and existing customers in Barry County with their country home and vacant land financing needs, including home site purchases and home construction projects, as well as recreational land loans.

Oberlin has a strong background in the financial services industry with more than 12 years of local lending experience having worked as an assistant vice president branch manager and senior mortgage loan officer.

“We are excited to welcome Mark as the newest addition to the Hastings branch,” said Ian McGonigal, senior vice president of regional sales. “His passion for building relationships and serving others, coupled with his deep financial knowledge, will be a huge asset to our members.”

An Upper Peninsula native, Oberlin grew up in Crystal Falls on his family’s hobby animal and crop farm. He attended Calvin College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Oberlin and his wife currently reside in Ada, and enjoy spending time with their five children and first newborn grandchild. Outside the office, he is also active hunting, salmon fishing on Lake Michigan, and golfing.
