Oberlin Transitions to GreenStone’s Lakeview Branch

Mark Oberlin has joined GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Lakeview branch as a financial services officer.

In this role, Oberlin will assist customers in Mecosta and Montcalm counties with their agricultural lending needs by offering financial solutions for real estate, equipment and operating loans and lease financing.

“We are excited to welcome Mark as the newest addition to the Lakeview branch,” said Cindy Birchmeier, regional vice president of sales and customer relations. “His passion for building relationships and getting to know each individual operation coupled with his deep financial knowledge makes him a tremendous asset to GreenStone and our members.”

Oberlin began his career with GreenStone as a financial services officer in Grand Rapids, focused on the cooperative’s country living customers. His strong background in the financial services industry extends to more than 16 years of lending experience, having previously worked as an assistant vice president branch manager and senior loan officer before joining GreenStone.

An Upper Peninsula native, Oberlin grew up in Crystal Falls on his family’s hobby animal and crop farm. He attended Calvin College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education. Oberlin and his wife currently reside in the Lowell area, and enjoy spending time with their five children and four grandchildren. Outside the office, he is also active outdoors, spending time fishing, golfing, hunting and putting in a blueberry patch on his property.
