Spencer Named Vice President with GreenStone Commercial Lending Unit

Brent Spencer has been named a vice president with GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Commercial Lending Unit. In his new role, he will specialize in assisting large dairy producers with their lending and financial services needs.

“We are excited for Brent to join the commercial lending unit team,” said Ben Spitzley, vice president of commercial lending unit group manager. “Brent’s tenure with GreenStone, and hands-on farming experience, will help him be a valued asset for our customers.”

Spencer began his career with GreenStone in 2004 as a country living financial services officer in Bay City, Michigan, before transferring to Hillsdale, Michigan. He later became a traditional financial services officer servicing customers out of the organization’s Concord, Michigan, branch before moving back to the Hillsdale office.

A Jonesville, Michigan, native, Spencer grew up on an 850-acre cash crop operation where he worked with his father raising corn and soybeans. He attended Michigan State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management.

Spencer still assists his father on the farm and plans to one-day to transition into ownership. He and his wife Lahryn reside in Jonesville with their three children.
