Waldschmidt Joins GreenStone as a Senior Tax Accountant

Elizabeth Waldschmidt has joined GreenStone Farm Credit Services as a senior tax accountant, and will be working with customers based in the association’s Allegan, Berrien Springs, and Schoolcraft branches.

In this role, Waldschmidt will offer financial information for credit, tax and management decisions and provide on-farm accounting services, software packages and payroll processing to customers.

Waldschmidt holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University. She brings more than 15 years of accounting and tax consulting experience to GreenStone and is a certified enrolled agent through the IRS and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

“Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge to our tax and accounting team,” said Tyson Lemon, regional vice president of sales and customer relations. “Her previous experience and customer-focused attitude, paired with her excitement to help ensure our customers are making the best tax decisions for their business, will make her a valuable asset.”

Growing up, Waldschmidt was heavily involved in 4-H, showing livestock. Today, she lives in Dowagiac with her husband, Kevin, and their two children.

Outside of the office, she is active in her community assisting with the livestock auction at the Cass County Fair, serving as the treasurer of the Central Cass InterLocal Fire Department, and being involved with the local tractor pull club. She also spends time coaching and watching her children participate in soccer.
