Willbrandt Transitions to New Role with GreenStone

Matt Willbrandt has become the newest financial services officer at GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ Schoolcraft branch.

Willbrandt will assist customers and prospects in Kalamazoo, Saint Joseph, and Van Buren Counties with their agricultural lending needs by offering financial solutions for real estate, equipment and operating loans, and lease financing.

Willbrandt began his career with GreenStone’s Berrien Springs branch in 2010 as a credit analyst, and later transitioned to the Schoolcraft office in the same position. In this role, he focused on analyzing loan requests to help ensure sound, comprehensive credit decisions were made in the lending approval process.

“Matt’s hands-on experience with agriculture, as well as his time with GreenStone, will make him an excellent resource for our customers,” said Tim McTigue, regional vice president of sales and customer relations. “We are excited to welcome Matt to his new role.”

Born and raised in Decatur, Willbrandt grew up working on his family’s celery and sweet corn operation. He later attended Western Michigan University earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance before returning to his parents’ operation where he helped manage the business before joining GreenStone.

Today, Willbrandt continues to reside in his hometown with his wife, Felicity, and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys watching and attending Detroit Tigers baseball games and coaching his daughter’s softball team.
