Farmers: Learn How to Connect to Your Consumers During ANR Week

Farmers will benefit from attending “Connecting the Farm to Consumers 101” featured during Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) Week at Michigan State University (MSU). The program will take place on March 7 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Willy Room of the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Participants will take home practical tips and tools designed to help farmers build stronger relationships with their consumers. The program will highlight survey information from MSU Extension’s Breakfast on the Farm program that demonstrates how consumer knowledge and attitudes change after experiencing modern agriculture.

Breakfast on the Farm includes a self-guided educational tour of various farms across the state and a free breakfast featuring Michigan-made products. Started in 2009, Breakfast on the Farm has been extremely successful in educating nearly 23000 consumers about today’s agricultural practices.
