Radio News from the Agricultural Leaders of Michigan: Heavy Rains, Road Damage and Impact on Agriculture

In a recent radio interview, Mike Wenkel
, manager of the Potato Growers of Michigan, says it could be months before roads in mid-Michigan and the Thumb that were washed out by heavy rains are reparied.

"We're not talking about large potholes, I've seen half mile stretches of roads that half of the roadbed is gone." Washed out roads are preventing farmers from going field to field to manage their crops.
