Protecting Yourself From Electronic Threats

GreenStone is concerned about helping its customers protect themselves from computer viruses and worms, fraud, and identity theft in today’s world of electronic communications. GreenStone will never ask you in an email message to update your confidential information or to provide a PIN, account number, social security number, password, or other similar information. We advise our customers never to respond to any email that asks for such information, even if it appears to be from GreenStone or another Farm Credit or financial institution. Protect yourself and your hard-earned assets!

Use good judgment when evaluating messages or solicitations that appear to be from governmental agencies as well. Legitimate agencies will not ask for private information through an email. Access the agencies and businesses that you deal with by their direct Web addresses rather than links provided by third parties. That is, type the address directly into your Web browser or use a bookmark or favorites listing that you have created.

Please report it to GreenStone if you receive any email solicitation that appears to have come from a Farm Credit institution and asks for personal, private, or confidential information, so that we can take immediately action. Send reports via email to INFO@greenstonefcs.com.

If you suspect that any fraud has occurred in connection with your GreenStone accounts, please let us know immediately, by telephone or email, so that we can assist you in resolving the matter.
