GreenStone Welcomes Credit Interns

GreenStone welcomes Lauren Voelker and Cameron Cook to the Credit Department. Through this internship they will experience the agriculture industry, life on the farm through farm visits and other internship activities. Check back for more on our interns over the next few weeks. 

Kyanne Rodabaugh, assistant vice president of credit says, "Lauren and Cameron will learn how to read and extract information from tax returns and learn components of a balance sheet.  This experience relates to their future financial knowledge about general finance including experiencing the credit analyst role at GreenStone."

Lauren Voelker 
Internship Title: Credit Analyst Intern 
Home town: Paris, Mich.
College: Michigan State University (MSU)
Major: Agribusiness Management 
Expected graduation date: May 2020
 
Background: I graduated from Reed City High School. At MSU, I’m a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority E-Board, Block and Bridle and National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA). My previous work experience includes Wilbur Ellis orchard scout and Michigan State University Extension cover crop research intern. My family owns a used equipment business as well as a cash crop and beef farm. 
 
Hobbies and interests: I love watching and cheering for the Michigan State Spartans, anything active outdoors (sun or snow), I love traveling and helping on my family’s cash crop and beef farm. 
 
Why GreenStone? GreenStone is known for its family work environment and excellent customer relationships. Working for a reputable company who leads the agriculture industry in financial lending was a perfect fit for me.

Cameron Cook

Internship Title: Credit Intern
Home town: Pewamo, Mich.
College: Michigan State University (MSU)
Major: Agribusiness Management 
Expected graduation date: May 2020
 
Background: I graduated from Pewamo-Westphalia High School. I have completed my two-year certificate in Dairy Management. While being at MSU, I have been involved in Dairy Judging and have competed at various national contests. I am also an active member of the Michigan State Dairy Club serving on the executive board. My past work experience was in California the last two summers on internships working on a 3,500-cow dairy farm as an assistant herds person. This past summer I worked for ABS Global as a sales representative. Any free time I have I spend working on my family’s dairy farm. 
 
Hobbies and interests: Being outside on the farm, showing cows, going to cow shows, traveling and volunteering in dairy promotional events. 
 
Why GreenStone? I chose GreenStone because I have worked specifically in the dairy industry the past two years and I am looking to diversify my experiences. I also talked to past interns who enjoyed their internships and suggested I apply because it pertains to my degree. I also enjoy working with numbers and analytics.
