GreenStone welcomes new interns in 2019

GreenStone welcomes Phil Sloss, Devon Herzig and Paige Soukup who are interning during this school semester. Through this internship they will experience the agriculture industry, life on the farm through farm visits and other internship activities. 

Phil Sloss

Internship Title: Human Resources Intern
Branch: East Lansing, Michigan
Home town: Macomb, Michigan
College: Michigan State University (MSU)
Major: Human Resource Management
Expected graduation date: May 2019

Background: I graduated from Dakota High School. I have previous experience in the human resources field at MSU Culinary Services.

Hobbies and interests: I enjoy playing tennis, kayaking, roller blading and watching TV with my friends. 

Why GreenStone? I found out about the opportunity to work at GreenStone through a classmate. She enjoyed her experience and I thought it would be a great opportunity to work for a prominent company that aligns with my values.

Devon Herzig

Internship Title: Tax and Accounting Intern
Branch: Adrian, Michigan
Home town: Toledo, Ohio
College: Adrian College
Major: Accounting
Expected graduation date: May 2019

Background: I graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo, Ohio. I have one sister and a puppy named Luna.

Hobbies and interests: I play club hockey at Adrian College, attend weekly trivia nights and enjoy watching Game of Thrones.

Why GreenStone? I chose GreenStone because my accounting professor recommended I apply for this position. After understanding GreenStone, I quickly loved their relationship with customers and the friendliness of the Adrian office.

Paige Soukup

Internship Title: Credit Intern
Branch: Little Chute, Wisconsin
Home town: Valders, Wisconsin
College: University of Wisconsin - Green Bay (UW – GB)
Major: Business Finance 
Expected graduation date: May 2020

Background: I graduated from Valders High School and currently working toward my bachelor’s degree at UW - GB. I was involved in FFA, Wisconsin Junior Holsteins, and 4-H growing up, which started my passion for the agriculture industry. My biggest passion is with the dairy industry as I love to show cows and work with animals. 

Hobbies and interests: In my free time I love to be with my puppy, Granger, or spend time with friends and family. In the summertime I love to show cows or attend cow shows. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.
