Sharing the Spirit in Local Communities

Having ties to the local communities where we live and work is one of the great benefits having a branch office in 36 locations across Michigan and northeast Wisconsin. During this holiday season, our employees shared the Christmas spirit with a number of local families, groups and associations. Here’s a sampling of some of the ways our employees give back to our communities.

Our Little Chute office got in the spirit of giving by donating to Toys for Tots through the Fox Valley Home Builders Association. They also participated in bell ringing for the Salvation Army for four days at the beginning of December.

The Ionia Branch gave a donation of money to a customer’s family that was in a severe accident earlier this year. They also donated a gift basket and a quilt made by an employee to be auctioned off to raise money for the family.

This year the Mt. Pleasant branch sponsored a family from Women’s Aid Services - a mother and her 5 year- old daughter. While they provided many household items that were requested, they also had an employee who was able to fulfill the daughter’s number one gift, a Nintendo DS with a case and several games!

The Concord Office donated new unwrapped toys this Christmas season, to Youth Haven Ranch. Youth Haven Ranch provides outreach and much needed support to disadvantaged youth in Michigan.

The East Lansing staff collected winter wear for children that attend the Willow Elementary School in Lansing. The Giving Tree and collection box overflowed with generosity from our staff and their family members!

We wish all our members and friends a happy and healthy holiday season!
