This year’s class of student interns are well underway in their summer projects here at GreenStone. We are pleased to share their stories and unique perspectives in our intern series. Keep an eye out for more blogs featuring GreenStone’s summer interns!
Working as a credit intern in GreenStone’s Little Chute branch, my main project has been keying in information for current and prospective customers, like balance sheets, income and expense reports into our lending software. I have enjoyed the open work environment, where I am able to work closely with those around me and receive as much guidance as needed. My experience at GreenStone has allowed me to gain a different perspective on agriculture as a whole. I appreciate how I was able to see different aspects of the industry through my role in credit. I worked with financials, while also getting to know customers on a more personal level. Hearing about the passions, values and dedication to quality from each farmer I have had the pleasure of meeting this summer encourages me that my work is important. I enjoyed being part of the process of helping farmers maintain and grow their operations.
I am grateful I found this opportunity when searching for a summer internship. I am able to combine my passion for agriculture gained through 4-H, FFA, and my Associates Degree in agri-business and science technologies and my current schooling in business management at St. Norbert College. In my future endeavors, I hope to continue meaningful work in the agricultural industry, helping farmers and rural America in their pursuit of growth.
